ATTENTION TO DETAIL

Flooring by it’s very nature will have to withstand heavy wear, if it is going to last it needs to be installed correctly. The detail is always in the preparation, the areas that will eventually be hidden from view. Using the right bondings, fixings, materials and products is vital for the longevity of your floor. Here’s a little more detail of our services:

Sub Floor Preparation

When we estimate jobs, we will include the necessary work required to level the floor in preparation for your commercial flooring product. If this isn’t done properly commercial floors will not lay flat and will often come away from the sub flooring, causing creases and tears thus increasing the amount of money you will then need to spend in constant ongoing repairs.

Commercial Flooring

There are many types of Commercial Vinyl Flooring and according to your requirements, be that flooring for a classroom, hospital ward, commercial kitchen, corridor, communal area, café or rest rooms, w/c or shower we can ensure that you get the right product.

Commercial Vinyl Flooring also comes in different budget ranges. It comes as sheet vinyl or as luxury vinyl tiles, so we can choose not only the right product for your environment but the right product at the right price.

Contract Carpet

There are more and more variants of carpet and carpet tiles available on the market and by keeping up to date with the industry we know what is available, where it is coming from and what alternatives there may be for your solution.

Attention to detail is important when fitting carpet solutions, not least to choosing and fitting the correct nosings for stairs and supplying the right entrance matting to your building, one that will do the job for the traffic you know will use it.

Hygienic Skirting Solutions

For those clinical or wet environments, a coved upstand to the walls is normal practice but experience in doing this work carefully and correctly isn’t. We have been doing this commercial flooring work for many years and got the experience needed to finish jobs with cap and cove to the standards that are required of this type of environment. Even supply and installation of other types of skirting require the knowledge and skill to do a good job with the right products. Berkshire Flooring have that knowledge.

SECTORS

Berkshire Flooring are proud of the work we do, not least because we feel that we contribute to creating the right environments for a variety of sectors, be that robust flooring for high footfall areas or to meet specified performance and hygiene requirements. The sectors we work in are quite specific, but we have many years’ experience successfully delivering our services in these sectors, project by project, day in and day out.

Health

Berkshire Flooring have specific expertise in commercial flooring in the health sector, having worked across the South East, in particular Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey and Oxfordshire as well as London. This has included work replacing flooring as health authorities and hospitals update their flooring or build new wards and clinical facilities.

Education

We also work extensively in the education sector from replacing primary school classroom flooring and creating safe and stimulating environments, corridors and staff rooms and their toilet facilities for their staff and children, to working at new specialist laboratory facilities in some of the world’s leading research universities in London.

Government bodies and local authorities

As a partner to Government and local authorities we install commercial vinyl flooring from small café kitchens to carpet tiles in whole office floors, and from leisure centre changing rooms and reception areas to disabled showers and toilet facilities.

Offices and Retail

Offices can be installed with up-to-date carpet tiles that are easy to maintain and offer a simple and cost-effective maintenance and repair regime. Attention to detail is important when fitting carpet solutions, especially when choosing and fitting the correct nosings for stairs and supplying the right entrance matting to your building, one that will cope with the traffic you anticipate using your flooring.

Fit out companies employ our commercial flooring expertise in restaurant chains, where we supply and install commercial vinyl flooring for both front of house and often in commercial kitchens where hard-wearing resilient safety flooring is a must.

Leisure

From gym floors to poolside showers we work indirectly and directly with leisure centres across the South East. We can offer a range of products to suit the hard-wearing requirements of reception areas and the non-slip safety flooring requirements of wet areas across leisure facilities.
